Pine, Cedar, Balsam - evergreen perfume - fills your senses as you walk the path to the campfire. Now the sounds of crackling fire pops and sparks as logs transform in the fire from physical to light. The fire, that you helped build - so symbolic of your feelings now as the power of nature impresses and transforms you- slowing you down, inviting you into the depth of wonder.

You will sleep in comfort, sung to sleep by the night songs of forest life. When you wake up, the grass will be wet with dew and the misty lake and river will be waiting for your morning swim.

You will sleep in delightful canvas “glamping’ tents on comfy matresses,

Or a 'STAR-GAZER' tent that allows you to uncover the roof so you can lie in bed and stare into the universe

Or maybe you will want a little more ‘creature comfort” and want a cozy bed in a cabin

When you climb into your bed, so intimate with nature, you will drift to sleep with lullabies of the night birds and frogs. You may be lucky to hear a special evening concert of the coyotes and wolves howling. Wherever you choose to rest, the magic of all that is natural will be your companion.

What is included?

Your retreat package includes transportation Toronto - Starry Lake - Toronto
lodging, meals, snacks & daily activities at Starry Lake.

Arrival day breakfast & lunch are not included and can be purchased
in the cute bakeries and shops of Lakefield on the way up to Starry Lake.

Who can attend?

The Youth Traveller Summer Retreat is for anyone aged 18-30 seeking a meaningful getaway focused on growth and connection and natural discovery.

What should I bring?

Pack comfortable clothes for warm days and cool nights, shoes you don't mind getting dirty, swimwear, and an open heart ready for new experiences.
A packing list will be provided upon registration.

Yes, a special hired bus will pick you up in Toronto and bring you to Starry Lake.
There is one bus, which transports all guests together from Toronto.
Alternatively, if you have a car you can drive your own car.
There are no public busses to Starry Lake, so be sure to be on time for departure!
Bus departure times and pick up location will be communicated upon registration.

Is travel included?

Will I see the Milky Way & the Aurora Borealis / Northern Lights?

Prices depend on how long your retreat is. Weekend retreats start at $729 USD / $1025 Cnd

How many participants are in the Youth Travellers Summer retreats?

If we could predict the weather we would be able to answer that question!
If it's a clear night, you are almost guaranteed to see constellations that you have never seen before, including the Milky Way in summer. Aurora's are harder to predict and much more rare - but they have been seen at Starry Lake so you never know- you might get lucky!

Can I stay LONGER at Starry Lake? I can already tell I won't want to go home!

The Starry Lake Youth Traveller Retreats are kept small and intimate with no less than 4 and no more than 15 participants for each session. BOOK EARLY to Save your SPOT!

What is the price?

Depending when you come, there may be options for staying longer to engage with Kat in some VIP Bonus time, or to have some independent extra nights in a cabin or tent.
